DubbedyuVigelegele, the competition is open to all yuMobile subscribers. To participate, customers will be required to send the word ‘yu’ to 1225. Customers can send as many sms to 1225 and increase their number of entries to the contest. For every SMS sent customers shall receive a message welcoming them to the promotion and informing them of the number of entries they have.

Speaking while launching the competition, CEO Madhur Taneja said:

“We believe in engaging and rewarding our customers and this is one way of doing so as we give them a rare chance to win up to Kes 50,000  daily. With just one SMS any subscriber is in with a chance to win the daily top prize, while sending more SMS’s will obviously increase their chances of winning.”

One winner will walk away with the top prize, while ten others will win mobile phone handsets and yuMobile modems daily. The winners will be notified by yuMobile via a SMS from the shortcode 100 or a phone call from 0750 100 100 to their subscriber number. The list of winners will also be published on the yuMobile website – www.yu.co.ke.

The competition runs for 90 days and will end in January 2012.
