To add an MSN, Yahoo or Facebook CHAT address you must first link your chat account on the settings page at www.peperusha.yu.co.ke

Save the peperusha number you receive for each contact you have added to the mobile phone book.

Potential problems/solutions:

1. Have you left a space between the NAME and the CHAT ADDRESS
2. Was the email/chat address spelt correctly?
3. Have you sent the message to 389?
   Check the email/Chat address was written correctly. Check it has an @ sign, check it has .com, .co .ke etc. and ensure that it is a dot (.) and not a comma (,)
4. Problems with adding an MSN/Yahoo address: have you registered your MSN/Yahoo address first? (If no – see How do I add MSN or Yahoo chat address above)

2. Have you already added your contact's CHAT address to your phone (if not, explain How do I add a CHAT address (detailed above))
3. Have you saved an peperusha CHAT number for this contact? This is the number that was sent to you when you added the contact's CHAT address.
4. To CHAT, send an SMS to the saved peperusha number for that contact. It will be sent as an EMAIL to your contact.

Yes, you can also manage your account using our online tools at www.peperusha.yu.co.ke.

You will need a password which you can get directly from the website www.peperusha.yu.co.ke or by texting PASSWORD (or PWD) to 389.

Go to www.peperusha.yu.co.ke click on the lost password link and you can reset your password which will be delivered to your phone..

To login online you must

1. Go to www.peperusha.yu.co.ke
2. Enter your yu phone number
3. Enter your password which you can retrieve from the website or by sending an SMS with the word PASSWORD (or PWD) to 389
4. Click login

Depending on your email provider, yu subscribers can redirect or forward emails sent to their mobile.

Outlook – Can redirect emails depending on what version you use (see next section How can I redirect my outlook email?)

MSN - Can only forward emails to another .MSN, .Hotmail or .Live address so cannot redirect.

Yahoo – You must upgrade to Yahoo Mail Plus to forward emails which is a paid service. Please see your Yahoo account for more details.

Gmail – Can forward emails received in your Gmail account to your phone (see section How can I forward my Gmail to my phone?) Other email clients – Please check with your specific email client on ability to forward emails.

To redirect email to your phone you must create and apply a rule to your Outlook email. This feature requires Microsoft Exchange 2000, 2003, or 2007 account. Please follow these steps:

1. On the Tools menu, click Rules and Alerts.
2. If you have more than one e-mail account in your Outlook e-mail profile, then in the Apply changes to this folder list, click the Inbox to which you want the new rule to apply.
3. Click New Rule.
4. Under Start from a blank rule, click Check messages when they arrive, and then click Next.
5. Under Step 1: Select condition(s), select the check box next to each condition that you want the incoming message to match.
6. Click Next.
7. Under Step 1: Select action(s), select the redirect it to people or distribution list check box.
8. Under Step 2: Edit the rule description, click people or distribution list. In one of the address lists, double-click the name or distribution list to which you want to redirect the messages, and then click OK. Click Next twice.
9. Under Step 1: Specify a name for this rule, type a name.
10. To run this rule on the messages that are already in your folders, select the Run this rule now on messages already in "folder" check box.

With the help of peperusha service you can forward emails received in your Gmail account to your phone:

1. Login to Google Mail (Gmail)
2. Click on the 'Settings' link on the top right corner of the page. This will display various settings that can be applied to your Gmail account
3. Select 'Create a new filter'
4. This will display a form where you can enter the criteria for redirecting emails.
5. Enter your Gmail address in 'To' field (e.g. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) of the form and click on 'Next Step'
6. A list of Actions will be displayed, select 'Forward it to:' and specify your peperusha address in the text box. And select 'Create Filter'.

As long as this filter is active all the emails received on your Gmail account will be delivered to your phone & replies will be delivered to sender.
